Horizontal glass washing and drying machine

The horizontal glass cleaning and drying machine in the left-side picture is special equipment for glass processing. Its main principle is to use a nylon brush to remove stains on the glass surface and then blow it dry with a fan. The schematic diagram of the structure is shown in Figure 2-31.
The horizontal glass washing and drying machine consists of a conveying roller and its drive device, a cylindrical roller brush and a roller brush drive device, a water spray pipe and a water pump system, a fan and a blowing air knife, and an air filtration system, a frame, and a cover plate.
The conveying roller is wrapped with rubber to reduce damage to the glass. Some are fully wrapped with rubber, some are intermittently wrapped with rubber, and some are covered with rubber rings on the roller. There are also short free rollers at the oblique air knife. Some rollers also have passively driven rs pressure rollers to prevent the glass from sliding. TSprockets and chains drive the conveying roller. The drive is generally adjusted by a speed-regulating motor or a strapless-regulating transmission to ensure the quality of glass cleaning.
The glass washing and drying machine must have at least three pairs of cylindrical roller brushes. The brush material is generally nylon. The diameter of nylon can be selected according to the product. The diameter is generally 0.1-0.2mm. If the brush diameter is too large, it is easy to scratch the glass surface; if it is too small, it cannot achieve the cleaning effect. For ordinary glass cleaning, nylon wire with a diameter of 0.2mm is generally selected,; forcoated glass, nylon wire with a diameter of 0.1mm is usually chosen. Each roller brush is driven individually or as a whole, and the drive device is installed outside the machine. The interference distance between the roller brush and the glass can be adjusted to ensure the roller brush has the best washing ability on the glass surface. The upper roller brush in each pair of roller brushes rotates passively, and the rotation direction is opposite to the glass conveying direction.
In front of each roller brush, there is a spray pipe with a nozzle. The unique nozzle ensures that the cleaning water is evenly sprinkled on the glass, and the installation angle of the spray pipe can also be adjusted. The cleaning water is generally circulated step by step and reused after being pressurized by the water pump.
The wind knife is installed after cleaning, between cleaning and drying, and the cleaning water is generally isolated with rubber or felt. The wind knife is usually arranged at an angle that is a certain angle to the glass. The wind pressure, angle, and distance from the glass surface of the blowing air greatly influence the glass drying effect.
In addition, the horizontal glass cleaning and drying machine with the ISC brush is the same as the ordinary horizontal glass cleaning and drying machine, except a disc brush mechanism is added in front of the roller brush. The disc brush is divided into upper and lower parts. The disc brush cleaning machine used for coating and mirror coating products generally only uses the upper disc brush; in contrast, the disc brush cleaning machine used for laminated glass production requires both upper and lower disc brushes. The disc brush swings back and forth, and the two rows of disc brushes are staggered.
The disc brush part’s cleaning water generally uses the circulating water used by the roller brush behind or heated detergent water. The last spray pipe generally uses deionized water (pure water) to avoid water marks after drying.
The air knife part usually uses more than two air knives to ensure the drying effect.

Vertical glass washing and drying machine

Vertical glass washing and drying machines are generally not used alone but mainly as accessories for vertical glass processing production lines. As shown in the figure on the right, the machine is divided into two sections: washing and drying, with a partition in the middle. The entire vertical washing machine consists of a glass transmission system. The cylindrical roller brush and roller brush drive device, water spray pipe and water pump system, air blower, filter system, frame, cover plate, and other parts are used for cleaning. The conveyor roller is installed on the frame at an elevation angle of no less than 6°, and the transmission device is installed at one end of the conveyor roller. Generally, sprockets and chains are used for transmission. A row of support wheels is at the lower end of the conveyor. The glass is placed on the support wheels and tilted against the conveyor roller for transmission. It enters the washing roller brush section and the drying section. A pair of rollers clamp the glass. A vertical glass washing and drying machine generally has three pairs of cylindrical roller brushes. The brush hair material is usually made of nylon. Each roller brush is driven separately or as a whole, and the drive device is installed outside the machine. Each pair of cylindrical roller brushes is installed parallel to the conveyor roller, and the interference distance between the roller brushes and the glass can be adjusted to ensure the roller brushes have the best washing ability on the glass surface.
The vertical glass washing and drying machine is the same as the horizontal glass washing and drying machine except for the conveying roller transmission device.
The cleaning quality of the vertical glass washing and drying machine is better. Since the glass is moving vertically, the dirt on the roller brush will not fall on the glass surface, and the wind knife will blow the washing water to the bottom rear corner of the glass. Therefore, the blowing and drying effect is slightly better than that of the horizontal glass washing and drying machine.
