Custom Mini Gin Bottles

Custom Mini Gin Bottles for Holiday Gifts
The Challenge
The client was preparing a special-edition winter gin infused with botanicals such as juniper and cinnamon. The liquid had a warm amber color, so the glass bottle needed to be highly transparent and clean enough to make the spirit look attractive under light.
But appearance was only one part of the challenge.
Because the bottle contained real liquid, it needed reliable sealing performance. A decorative bottle that leaks during shipping or gifting would damage both the product and the brand experience.
Customization was another key requirement. Different distributors wanted different looks, including cap colors, ribbon colors, logo placement, and gift-box styles. The client needed flexibility without turning every small change into a high-cost custom project.
Budget also mattered. This was a promotional gift project, not a luxury crystal collection. The solution had to feel premium, but still be practical for a batch of around 2,000 pieces.
For many suppliers, this kind of order is awkward: too detailed for standard packaging, too small for large factories, and too customized for low-cost bottle stock. BO-Glass was able to step in because we combine flexible glass processing, decoration support, and small-to-medium batch production experience.

Our Solution
BO-Glass developed a custom mini gin bottle solution using clear high-borosilicate glass, custom aluminum screw caps, decorative ribbons, screen printing, and gift-ready packaging.
Instead of simply offering a standard bottle, we worked around the client’s real goal: a bottle that could be filled, gifted, displayed, photographed, and remembered. From glass clarity to cap color, from logo position to ribbon style, each detail was considered as part of the final brand experience.
Clear High-Borosilicate Glass
We selected high-borosilicate glass for its clarity, hardness, scratch resistance, and stable appearance.
For a bottle designed to display amber gin, transparency was essential. The glass needed to make the liquid look warm and bright, without bubbles, streaks, or cloudy areas that could reduce the premium feel.
The material also provided better durability for a product that might be shipped, handled, hung on a tree, or kept as a decoration after use.
This is one of BO-Glass’s strengths: choosing the right glass material for the final use, not just producing a shape. A decorative liquor bottle must look beautiful, but it also has to survive real handling, filling, shipping, and long-term display.
Precision Tube Cutting and Fire Polishing
The bottles were made using precision tube cutting and fire polishing.
This process helped create a clean mini apothecary-style bottle with a capacity of around 100 ml. The size was small enough for gifting and decoration, but still large enough to feel substantial in the hand.
Fire polishing gave the bottle edges a smooth, finished appearance and helped remove sharpness from the cut glass.
Because BO-Glass has experience with custom glass forming and finishing, we were able to control both the visual quality and practical usability of the bottle. The result was not a fragile ornament pretending to be packaging, but a real bottle designed with decorative value.
Custom Aluminum Screw Caps
For the caps, we produced custom aluminum screw tops.
The caps could be anodized in different colors, including gold, red, silver, green, and other seasonal options. The client selected matte gold for the main batch and bright red for a retail promotion.
This gave the brand a flexible way to adapt the same bottle design for different markets, campaigns, and holiday themes.
BO-Glass understands that custom packaging is not only about the glass. A cap color, a finish, or a small accessory can change how the whole product feels. That is why we help coordinate these supporting details instead of leaving the client to manage separate suppliers.

Decorative Ribbons and Charms
To make the bottle work as a holiday ornament, we added satin cords in matching colors.
The ribbons could be changed according to distributor requirements. Red, gold, silver, and other color combinations were available with enough lead time. A small charm with the distillery’s initials was added to strengthen the gift-like feeling.
These details made the bottle feel personal instead of mass-produced.
This flexibility is especially useful for brands serving different regions or sales channels. BO-Glass can help adjust the appearance without changing the core bottle design, allowing clients to create multiple versions from one practical production base.
Screen Printing and Gift Packaging
We screen-printed the client’s logo on the front of the bottle and added a small holiday message on the back.
The print was baked onto the glass, helping it resist fading or peeling even if the bottle was kept as a long-term decoration.
We also developed a custom rigid gift box with a window cutout, allowing the bottle to be seen before opening. The box included a hang tab, so the product could be displayed or hung directly. Different paper finishes were offered, and the client chose a soft-touch matte finish with foil stamping for a more premium look.
BO-Glass helped turn the bottle into a complete gift product, not just a glass container. This kind of project management matters when a client needs glass, decoration, accessories, and packaging to work together under one deadline.
Quality Control
Each batch was tested for leakproof performance by filling the bottles with water and shaking them on a test table.
We also checked glass thickness consistency with calipers and inspected the bottles under bright light to identify bubbles, streaks, or surface scratches.
In the first run, around 2% of bottles were rejected due to minor surface scratches. After improving handling during production and packing, the rejection rate dropped close to zero.
This is where BO-Glass adds real value. We do not treat small decorative bottles as low-priority accessories. Even for seasonal gift packaging, we check sealing, appearance, glass clarity, and finishing details so the final product can represent the client’s brand with confidence.
The Result
The client sent out the first 2,000 mini gin bottles as holiday gifts to top distributors and loyal customers.
The response was stronger than expected. Within one week, the client requested another 1,500 pieces because distributors wanted extra bottles for their own staff and promotional use.
The bottles also became popular on social media. Customers posted photos of the amber gin bottles hanging on Christmas trees and catching the light, which gave the brand extra visibility beyond the original gift campaign.
For the client, this was not just packaging. It became a small branded object that people wanted to keep, display, and talk about.
For BO-Glass, the project showed how the right custom glass solution can turn a simple promotional idea into a product with real emotional value. We helped the client balance clarity, sealing, decoration, packaging, timing, and cost without losing the premium feeling they wanted.

Why Choose BO-Glass?
BO-Glass helped the client combine functional liquor packaging with decorative gift design.
With clear high-borosilicate glass, precision cutting, fire polishing, custom aluminum caps, flexible ribbon options, baked screen printing, gift packaging support, and leakproof testing, we delivered mini gin bottles that looked premium, sealed properly, and supported different seasonal styles.
Our advantage is not only making glass parts. It is understanding how glass works inside the complete product: how it looks, how it seals, how it is handled, how it is packed, and how customers experience it.
For spirits brands, gift companies, and promotional packaging projects, BO-Glass can create custom glass bottles that are more than containers. They can become part of the customer experience.
