BO-GLASS / Customer project protection

Confidentiality & IP Protection

We work with customer-provided agreements covering confidential information, tooling ownership and product IP, including agreed restrictions on third-party manufacturing and sales.

Your company's agreement

Clear terms before your project begins.

Customers often have their own non-disclosure agreement (NDA) or project-specific documents. Send your requirements to BO-GLASS so we can confirm the parties, covered products, tooling and terms before signing.

The agreement can address more than keeping drawings confidential. It can also define mold ownership, permitted use of product designs and restrictions on manufacturing or selling to other buyers.

Start before sharing sensitive files. If your project requires an NDA, confirm the agreement and signing arrangements before sending confidential drawings, models or samples.
Four areas to agree

Protect the information, tooling and product.

Define the scope for your specific project in the documents signed by both parties.

  • Drawings & technical information

Customer drawings, CAD files, specifications and samples are used for the agreed project. Any further use or disclosure must comply with the signed agreement.

  • Tooling ownership & use

Confirm ownership and permitted use of project-specific molds, including any agreed storage, maintenance and return arrangements. Identify the tooling covered by the agreement.

  • Product designs & patent rights

Identify the customer's product designs, applicable patent rights and permitted manufacturing scope. Authorization to manufacture does not, by itself, authorize sales to other buyers.

  • No unauthorized third-party sales

Where agreed with the customer, covered products are not offered or sold to other buyers, and covered tooling is not used to manufacture for third parties without the customer's written authorization.

Working with your NDA

Send. Confirm. Sign.

  1. Share your requirements

Send your company's NDA or project agreement, your contact details and a short, non-confidential project overview.

  2. Identify what is covered

Confirm the signing parties, covered designs and molds, permitted use, and any restrictions on third-party production or sales.

  3. Proceed on the agreed terms

Once the agreement is signed by the appropriate parties, share the agreed project materials and use the confirmed documents for the work that follows.
